Chelsey M. was a 15-year-old competitive tap dancer whose migraine headaches began to zap the joy from her life. Soon, the pounding of her head couldn’t compete with the pounding of music, leaving her with no choice but to pull back from her normal activities.

“I hated going out and would spend most of my time in a dark room,” said Chelsey, still a member of Inland Empire Health Plan (IEHP). “It completely ruined my social life because I didn’t want to go anywhere or do anything with anyone.”

When the pain and problems continued, her IEHP network provider team supported Chelsey and advanced her care through Loma Linda University Medical Center (LLUMC).
