Digital Health Literacy

What is digital health literacy?

You might not have heard the term before, and that’s okay. Digital health literacy is the ability to use the internet and devices to access health information and tools. Some skills involved are:

  • Knowing how to find trusted health information online.
  • Using phones, computers or other devices to set up a doctor’s visit or telehealth visit.
  • Using secure health apps to track steps, heart rate or medication.

Digital health literacy helps you take better care of your health, so it’s a great skill we want you to have.

Check your digital health literacy

To find out if you may need help with digital health literacy, take our short survey. This survey helps us learn about your experience using the internet for health needs. Your answers will help us better support you.
