Finding joy in one’s chosen profession is a blessing. When that also means children benefit from your expertise, even better.
“I love what I am doing because we serve the most precious people: the kids,” said Hua Bai, MD, a longtime pediatrician based in Chino Hills and the winner of the Inland Empire Health Plan (IEHP) 2026 Optimal Health Award. “It gives us a lot of joy – we are happy we can be there for them, help them make sure they are mentally and physically healthy.”
Dr. Bai, who has been practicing medicine for more than 40 years, gladly partners with IEHP because the health plan’s standards match those of the American Academy of Pediatrics, which “promotes optimal physical, mental and social health for infants, children, adolescents and young adults.”
The recommended approaches Dr. Bai emphasizes with her Pediatric Clinic De Chino Hills patients and their families include:
- Preventive care
- Mental services
- Immunizations
- Follow-up care
“So, we’re on the same page, that’s why I like it,” said Dr. Bai of her collaboration as a doctor in IEHP’s vast provider network.
Dr. Bai expressed her overall gratitude to IEHP, including for receiving this year’s Optimal Care Award.
“I thank IEHP [for their] support over the years for patient care and for my practice and for this community,” she said. “Thank you so much.”
