Medi-Cal Renewal

Learn how to renew your Medi-Cal benefits each year.

Starting January 1, 2026, depending on your immigration status, if you lose your Medi-Cal and have to reapply, you’ll lose access to primary care, preventive care, and specialist services that come with full-scope Medi-Cal.

Children (18 and under) will continue to receive full scope Medi-Cal, if eligible, regardless of immigration status.

Be careful of Medi-Cal renewal scams

Scammers are reaching out to Medi-Cal members asking for a fee to apply for or renew their coverage. Do not send any form of payment to them. Medi-Cal won’t ask for any money in an application or renewal process.
