IEHP’s Healthy School Program

Supporting student health and success

Students with access to health care and vital resources tend to be healthier, miss fewer days of school and do better in class.

That’s why IEHP has teamed up with many school districts in San Bernardino and Riverside counties for our Healthy School Program to ensure eligible students have access to the care they need to stay healthy, engaged and ready to learn.

How it works

A Health Navigator can help you:

An IEHP Health Navigator meets with eligible students wherever they feel comfortable. They discuss the program and how it could benefit them and their families.

  • Find doctors and schedule check-ups.
  • Provide mental health support and resources.
  • Help with vaccines and health screenings.
  • Connect families to food, housing and other resources.

Once students learn about the program, all they need to do is accept or decline the support. That’s it. Students may opt in or out of the program at any time.

Students and families who are IEHP members (Medi-Cal or IEHP Covered) and go to a partnering school district.

Who is eligible

Students and families who are IEHP members (Medi-Cal or IEHP Covered) and go to a partnering school district.

How to get started

  • Ask your school’s front office or any staff member.
  • A teacher or school staff member can refer your child.
