Culturally Aligned Care

At IEHP, we want every member to get fair, respectful and culturally sensitive care. That’s why we collect voluntary information, like race, ethnicity, gender and languages spoken, from our providers. This helps us connect you with doctors and providers who can better understand your background, communication and cultural needs.

To help you make the right choice for your needs, IEHP Member Services can share with you (upon request) the background information of participating doctors and providers in our network.

Why this matters

When you can talk comfortably with your doctor or other providers, you feel heard, respected and understood. And when your communication is better, trust can often build and grow faster between you and your doctor, which can strengthen your relationship over time.

If something doesn’t feel right
