Taking Care of Your Mental Health with IEHP

Did you know that your mental health matters as much as your physical health?

In fact, the two are closely linked. Mental illnesses like anxiety and depression can show up as fatigue, headaches and other physical symptoms. These illnesses can even raise your risk for diabetes, heart disease and stroke.

That’s why IEHP covers Non-Specialty Mental Health Services to support members with mild-to-moderate concerns, such as stress, anxiety, depression or eating disorders.

Getting started is simple. You can talk to your doctor, or you can meet with a licensed mental health provider in our network for an initial assessment. No referral or pre-approval is needed for this visit. From there, your provider will work with you to find the right care for your needs, which may include individual or group therapy, medication management or even dyadic services (care that supports both you and your child together).

If you need more specialized care, IEHP will guide you through your options.

Take charge of your mental health needs. Talk to your doctor about treatment options or call IEHP Member Services (and ask for a Behavioral Health Specialist) at 1-800-440-IEHP (4347), Monday-Friday, 8 a.m.-5 p.m. TTY users should call 1-800-718-IEHP (4347) or 711.
